After the announcement of Formula 1 arriving to Miami in 2019 and the exhibition of Grand Basel, a luxury car exhibit, in February 2019; the city has become the focus of the automotive industry.
These events are the prelude to the opening of The Concours Club, which will include a racetrack worth $220 million, as well as a full spa and hammam, an infinity pool and Jacuzzi, storage for wines and cigars, restaurant and bar and full concierge services.
“The amenities are what set us apart,” commented co-founder Neil Gehani. “We want to be sure we bring in the right people, and then we want to keep everyone here once they get here.”
The club is expected to open in May 2019 at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport.
Its owners, Neil Gehani and Jay Pollak, reported that a membership system would be developed for the first 40 “founding members,” which will be priced at $350,000, at no additional cost for annual fees. Invitations for the 40 founders start in July.
The first customers should invite friends and acquaintances to be part of the “legacy membership” that is estimated at $125,000 plus annual fees (only 150 slots for this type of membership).
“We want to make sure we attract the right people, and we want everyone to stay here once they enter,” Gehani said.
While many other racetracks need to be far apart from the city because of zoning and noise ordinances, what sets the Concours Club apart is its location. The racetrack is closed enough to Brickell, and Miami Beach and its adjacent location to Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport settles the issue.
